Versions

I started working on this version of the site in August 2026. This is how it has changed since then.

  1. v1.2

    Current

    The first launches

    • Published 48hrs as the first public venture, with a dedicated project page, handoff artwork and eight website examples in its preview.
    • Launched YouTube Library at tube.alexey.ws. Added it to Home, Projects, Curations and the personal sidebar.
    • Published more than a thousand approved thumbnail references, a creator index and four editorial collections.
    • Added the Library launch to About, alongside the story of starting 48hrs. Kept English and German content together in the CMS.
    • Reworked the About photographs: moved the selected group portrait into the music and university years, removed one travel photograph from display and replaced handwritten overlays with shared narrative captions.
    • Added a separate filmstrip of current 48hrs website artwork and the Library launch image.
    • Fixed inline contact links and footer icons. Improved responsive image delivery and preserved the original photographic archive.
    • Added compact monospace Library counts, reduced sidebar badge type to 10 px and corrected personal favicon alignment and dark-theme contrast.
    • Removed public styleguide links and kept internal design-tool routes off the personal site.
  2. v1.1

A working site behind the pages

    • Moved the About text, photographs, captions and publication state into a bilingual Payload record.
    • Separated the public personal site from the complete working preview, standalone Curations and Workshop.
    • Established approved-content snapshots and scoped releases, so a deployment does not publish every unfinished section.
    • Added responsive About images, a smaller first portrait and prepared paper textures to reduce loading and scrolling work.
    • Built the reference-library workflow around approved sources, duplicate handling and owner-only curation.
    • Consolidated the website, CMS and shared components while keeping ongoing publishing-pipeline work separate.
  3. v1.0

    The new foundation

    • Finished the desktop sidebar and rebuilt the mobile navigation around a floating control island.
    • Added Little Knowledge guide pages, Curations, search, the guestbook drawer, and the new feedback composer.
    • Unified the paper surfaces, typography, content miniatures, theme transition, and adaptive favicon.
    • Made the whole frame responsive from mobile screens through wide desktop layouts.
  4. v0.9

    The paper takes shape

    • Introduced the layered sidebar and contextual project previews.
    • Turned the page into one continuous paper canvas with a clearer reading frame.
    • Refined the content groups, cards, and motion language used across the site.
  5. v0.8

    Editorial rebuild

    • Rebuilt the site in Astro around Home, Projects, Journal, Knowledge, and Collection.
    • Established the shared design system, responsive content structure, and local feedback workflow.
    • Created the first version of the editorial homepage and visitor experience.
  6. Work begins

    • I started working on this version of my personal site in August 2026.
    • The September rebuild and the first public launches followed from that work. This is the starting point of the history, not a dated release.
